Lyle earned a degree in Electromechanical Design, and an AS degree in Computer integrated Electronics.  He worked for 2 years with a government contractor at McClellan AFB in Sacramento CA, and after at General Electric (GE).  In 1992, Lyle started a 22-year career with the Grass Valley Group, later known as Grass Valley Products, as a Broadcast Engineer with an emphasis in Quality Assurance (QA) validation.  He worked closely with the VP of Marketing and the marketing group as the technical engineer for trade shows and product demonstrations.
